Duties: The main purpose of the role is to take responsibility for a caseload of files, whilst providing excellent client service and the management of completion targets. On joining us you will be working with an Assistant as your caseload grows, supported with the day to day running of the files, exchanges and completions giving you more time to focus on the legal aspects of a transaction and working with us to continually enhance our clients experience. Working closely and proactively with an Assistant on a day-to-day basis, to ensure the smooth running of the files, exchanges, and completions Responsible for the full process including dealing with additional queries on a case and title investigations Advising clients on any legal issues they should be aware of Reporting any legal issues to Mortgagees Obtaining quotes for Indemnity policies and putting the relevant policies into force Communicating with clients on a purchase with documents for signing Signing files off authorising an Exchange of Contracts to take place on a sale and purchase Dealing with clients, brokers, agents or other work providers in a professional manner at all times Ensuring all processes are carried out efficiently using the case management system Keeping up to date with new legislation and sharing with colleagues where appropriate Skills Required: 2-3 years' experience in conveyancing field Strong organisational and administrative skills, able to set own priorities for the day ahead Good time management skills to ensure deadlines and turnaround times are achieved Good written and verbal communication skills Good telephone skills with a friendly and approachable manner, keen to generate an excellent first impression Good attention to detail with a methodical approach to administrative tasks Team player who sees helping others as a fundamental part of the role Good IT skills in order to enable the postholder to quickly learn our Case Management System Able to work on own initiative Able to juggle priorities to ensure work is carried out in order of importance A willingness to learn Benefits: Offering a competitive salary within a salary scale that allows ongoing progression A starting annual leave entitlement of 31 days (including bank holidays) increasing by a further 2 weeks with service Full-time hours which are lower than many employers at 35 hours per week over Monday to Friday We operate a non-contractual bonus scheme which you will benefit from after completion of our 'settling in' period All employees are currently able to opt to work one day a week from home (pro rata for part time staff).
