Join to apply for the Children’s Home Registered Manager role at CareTech. Location: Loughborough. Contract: Permanent, Full Time (40 hours per week). Salary: £50,000 - £55,000 per annum DOE plus annual £5,000 bonus. Closing Date: Thursday 30 October 2025.

Role expectations: As a Registered Manager, you will lead a 5-bed Children’s EBD Ofsted-rated GOOD home and ensure high-quality care aligned with budgets and standards.
Responsibilities
* Develop Comprehensive Care Plans tailored to each young person’s needs (care, education, social, emotional, cultural, therapeutic, health)
* Develop a strong team: recruit, induct, and support staff; implement personal development plans to maintain consistency for young people
* Foster consultation with young people about their care
* Allocate Key Workers to implement care plans
* Maintain high standards in line with National Minimum Standards and the Home’s Statement of Purpose
* Handle complaints and safeguarding concerns
* Collaborate with parents, carers, and professionals to promote welfare
* Attend and contribute to care planning and review meetings
* Promote a safe culture and manage the home within budget expectations
Essential Requirements and Experience
* Passionate about making a difference to the lives of young people in care
* At least 2 years’ experience in residential care of children, with at least 1 year in a supervisory role within the last 5 years
* Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (or equivalent), or willingness to start within 6 months
* Knowledge of The Quality Standards, SCCIF, childcare legislation, and regulatory requirements
* Skills in planning, organizing, budgeting, resource allocation, and team leadership
* Strong spoken and written communication
* Understanding of trauma and the needs of children with behavioural, emotional, and social difficulties
* Full UK Driving Licence
