Teacher of Psychology
Location: Rochdale Sixth Form College, College Road, Rochdale, OL12 6HY
Start Date: January 2026
Rochdale Sixth Form College (RSFC) opened in 2010 to address underachievement in A Level performance. The college is rated Ofsted outstanding and is consistently ranked as one of the highest performing colleges in the country according to the DfE performance tables and national achievement rate tables.
Role overview: As a Teacher of Psychology at RSFC, you will deliver high-quality A Level Psychology education to a diverse student body. You will plan and deliver engaging, challenging, and well-structured lessons that support students to achieve their full potential and contribute to a culture of academic excellence, innovation, and mutual respect.
* Teach allocated students by planning teaching to achieve progression of learning in accordance with RSFC policies.
* Create a positive and inclusive learning environment where all students are supported to succeed
* Use data to monitor student progress and implement strategies to support achievement
* Participate in departmental planning, assessment, and curriculum development
* Monitor and intervene when teaching to ensure effective learning and maintain a safe environment in which students feel confident
* Engage in the college’s enrichment programme and wider college life
* Contribute to sharing best practice and continuous improvement within the Psychology faculty
