Overview
We are looking for a Maintenance Joiner/Handyperson to join our Housing team to undertake a range of carpentry, joinery and other maintenance work for our properties. Whilst you will be based in Nottingham, you will also be expected to travel to other locations across the county when required to support in our other regions such as Mansfield and Worksop.
Responsibilities
* Undertaking a range of carpentry, and joinery jobs
* Carrying out repairs and general maintenance
* When required, undertaking a range of other maintenance tasks, including plumbing, painting, and gardening.
Qualifications and Experience
* You will have experience of working in a qualified trade position as a joiner / carpenter and possibly have broader experience if you have worked in a maintenance or caretaking in a work environment.
* A relevant trade qualification to at least level 2 in joinery and / or carpentry e.g. Level 2 / 3 Diploma in Site Carpentry, NVQ 2 / 3 in Carpentry and Joinery, level 2/3 Bench Joinery, is also highly desirable. We are happy and able to put you through additional qualifications to support your experience too.
Additional Requirements
* You will need a driving licence so that you are able to travel around our network of properties although you will be provided with a fleet vehicle and all the tools needed to do your job. If you wish to use your own vehicle for travel between our homes, we can offer a travel allowance of up to £3,600 per year.
