TheBeaumont Elms Practice is looking for a People and Patient Manager to own the ourHR procedures and patient communication. Each day looks different and, as anever-growing practice with around 24,000 patients, we need an extra pair ofhands to manage the workload that comes with this! Our friendly team is made upof around 80 people, some of which have worked for us for 40 years.
Main duties of the job
Aspart of the senior leadership team, the People and Patient manager would beexpected to input on new strategies, and direction for the practice. Along withthe Operations Manager and Practice Manager, the postholder would assist withany same day issues and provide direction and leadership within the practice.

Job responsibilities
Main duties of the job
People Manager
The postholder will be responsible for the HR processes of the practice from start to end. The key tasks are:
* Complete management of the onboarding process
* Management of the leaving process, working with the Operations Manager to offboard employees
* Submitting monthly employee data to NHS England
* Deal with any ad-hoc HR queries.
* Management of the payroll process, including processing overtime claims and submitting payroll each month.
* Serve as the primary point of contact for employee concerns, conflict resolution, and workplace investigations.
* Owning the disciplinary and sickness processes, providing advice to managers and accompanying them to meetings where needed.
* Manage employee records and HR reporting with accuracy and confidentiality.
* Work with the Compliance Lead to update policies, in line with UK employment law and best practice.
* Manage holiday entitlement
* Oversee the appraisals for the practice
* Manage e-learning and training for the practice, looking out for grants and
* Manage employee benefit schemes, like the cycle to work scheme
* Answer any questions regarding the pension scheme, working with payroll to ensure forms are completed correctly.
* Administration of Practice Index, our employee site.
The postholder will be responsible for high level correspondence with patients. This includes, but is not limited to:
* Writing patient communications which require management level responses
* Answer and log complaints, investigating and driving change where need be
* Work with the Reception Manager and Partners to support the implementation of new policies, technologies, and service improvements
* Suggest and strategies improvements to service and care
* Be the face for any patients who may wish to speak to management.
* Support conflict resolution and manage sensitive conversations with professionalism.
* Participate in audits, quality improvement initiatives, and risk assessments
* Managing the Google account for the practice and responding to reviews
* Assisting with patient projects, like the Out of Area scheme
* Managing the patient communications, like patient leaflet

Person Specification
Qualifications
* Proven experience in an HR Manager or HR Assistant role
* Strong knowledge of UK employment law.
* Experience within a GP Practice.
* Experience with EMIS
* Experience working in a highly regulated industry
Experience
* GCSE grade A to C in English and Maths, or equivalent.
* Have or working towards a CIPD level 3
