Robert Half Finance and Accounting are currently looking to recruit a Credit Controller to join an exciting Professional Services company experiencing huge growth based in Bristol. For the right person the client is offering:

Role responsibilities will include but not limited to:
1. Manage allocated customer ledgers, ensuring timely collection of outstanding debts in line with company procedures and KPIs
2. Contact customers by telephone and email to chase overdue invoices and resolve account queries
3. Build and maintain effective working relationships with customers and internal departments to support prompt payment and issue resolution
4. Carry out credit checks for new and existing customers and assist with setting up and maintaining customer accounts
5. Monitor customer credit limits and highlight any concerns or risks to the Credit Control Manager
6. Allocate and post customer cash receipts accurately and in a timely manner
7. Reconcile customer accounts and investigate discrepancies where required
8. Produce and issue customer statements, copy invoices and other account documentation as necessary
9. Maintain accurate and up-to-date customer records and supporting documentation
10. Support internal and external audit requirements by providing information and documentation as required
11. Issue reminders and final demands in line with company procedures and escalate unresolved issues where appropriate
12. Assist with month-end activities and reporting
13. Work in accordance with company policies, procedures and financial controls
Person specification:
14. 2+ years credit control or accounts receivable experience
15. Strong communication skills and a customer focused approach
16. Organised, methodical and able to manage your workload effectively, while maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detail
17. Strong IT skills, in particular Excel
