Our client, a key player in the Defence & Security sector, is currently seeking a Project Manager to join their team in Bournemouth for a permanent role. As a pivotal member, you will focus on managing projects that enhance Electronic Warfare capabilities within the aerospace domain.
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver projects and work packages within agreed time, cost, and quality constraints
Organise, plan, estimate, coordinate, and lead project resources and activities
Motivate and manage cross-functional project teams
Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks and issues proactively
Ensure clear, effective communication within the project team and with stakeholders
Build and manage relationships with key customer personnel
Deliver all required project deliverables for each phase or stage
Track, update, and report on project progress and variances
Support the PMO with delivery, reporting, and continuous improvement initiatives
Job Requirements:
Experience in project management, ideally within the aerospace, defence, or technology sectors
Ability to manage complex technical projects and coordinate multi-disciplinary teams
Strong organisational and planning skills, with excellent attention to detail
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
Knowledge or willingness to learn relevant regulatory frameworks for airborne mission systems
Apprenticeship or degree in engineering or a physical science discipline is beneficial but not essential
Willingness and ability to travel within the UK and potentially overseas as required
