Join us as a Relationship Manager in our Escrow & Securitisation Services team within International Corporate Banking.

In this front‑office relationship management role you will originate and manage escrow and securitisation transactions for Global Corporates, Banks and Non‑Bank Financial Institutions (NBFIs). You will own client relationships and transactions from the initial pitch through to execution and closing, working closely with product, risk, legal and structuring teams to deliver tailored solutions that meet clients’ strategic and commercial objectives.

International Corporate Banking sits within Corporate and Investment Banking (CIB) and provides client coverage and origination of corporate banking products to Global Corporates, banks and NBFI clients. The business is organised around three sectors and regional lines, with key geographies in the US, UK, Western Europe and Asia.


Essential Skills / Basic Qualifications

* Front Office (Corporate / Investment Banking Coverage) Experience
* Commercial acumen with a clear focus on client needs and value creation
* A clear understanding of risk, controls and the wider control environment
* Sound business judgement, with the ability to deliver practical solutions and make informed decisions
* Effective communication and influencing skills, with a collaborative approach to working across teams
* A track record of originating business and taking ownership of transactions from the initial pitch through to execution and close


Desired Skills / Preferred Skills

* Accredited in a professional related qualification or experience
* Escrow and Securitisation experience
* Industry knowledge and understanding of key drivers for business owners
* Client portfolio management experience
* Contract negotiation skills

This role is based in London and requires office presence in line with the ICB policy. It is a Certified role under the PRA & UK Financial Conduct Authority – Individual Accountabilities Regulations and may require the holder to maintain mandatory regulatory qualifications or meet internal company benchmarks.


Purpose of the role

To establish and nurture profitable partnerships with both corporate and individual clients. The role is the bridge between the bank’s offerings and clients’ needs, ensuring mutual benefit and long‑term success.


Accountabilities

* Manage client relationships, identifying financial goals, challenges and risk tolerance to support analysis of data from various sources.
* Research and understand industry trends, regulatory landscape and competitive environment to inform strategic recommendations.
* Design customised solutions that address clients’ specific needs and objectives, incorporating a range of products and services from the bank’s portfolio.
* Communicate the value proposition of proposed solutions, justify recommendations and negotiate terms that benefit both client and bank.
* Provide guidance to clients to support financial decisions, offering expert investment advice and risk management strategies, and updating on market trends.
* Assess financial, legal and operational risks associated with client relationships and implement measures to minimise potential losses.
* Document all client interactions, transactions and agreements to ensure transparency and auditability, and communicate findings effectively to support product development and the overall bank strategy.
* Monitor client satisfaction, revenue generated and other relevant metrics to evaluate the effectiveness of relationship management efforts.

* Take ownership of managing risk and strengthening controls in relation to the work performed.
* Perform work that is closely related to other areas, requiring coordination to achieve organisational objectives.
* Collaborate across areas to support business-aligned initiatives and maintain awareness of business strategy.
* Engage in complex analysis of data from multiple sources, solving problems creatively and effectively.
* Communicate complex information clearly, including sensitive or difficult-to‑communicate content.
* Influence or convince stakeholders to achieve desired outcomes.
