The company has an integrated operation office in the UK in Basingstoke, and is currently helping to lead in the energy transition from traditional business areas with decarbonised solutions such as CCS (Carbon Capture and Storage) to innovative project such as renewables, hydrogen, etc.

SmartWorking (Hybrid Working)
Our client operates a SmartWorking policy allowing personnel to work for up to 12 working days/month from home or a similar secure UK location and these 12 days can be available even where personnel are on leave for a portion of the month. As such, typically around 60% of time working remotely is available for individuals who wish to take advantage of this.
Description of Project/Role and Main Responsibilities
Candidate will be responsible for the following main tasks:
* Depending on the project needs, coordinate a team of specialist engineers and/or external company in the performance of pipeline system design, assuring the quality, the consistency and the timely execution of the engineering activities performed both by the internal resources and by external / third party contractor team.
* Depending on the project needs, perform in first person the analyses and calculations relevant to pipeline engineering assigned by the coordinator, as part of the Conceptual, FEED (Front-End) or Detail Design of onshore and offshore pipeline system development projects.
* Depending on the project needs, technical supervision and assistance during Offshore pipeline installation onboard installation vessel.
* ITT preparation and bid technical evaluations.
* Ensure that pipeline system design and specifications meet project requirements, COMPANY Standards, International (ISO 13623, DNV ST F101, ASME B31.4, ASME B31.8, etc)/Local Standards and Industry Best Practices.
* Ensure accuracy of the inputs for pipeline system cost and schedule estimates
* Ensure alignment with other disciplines including Interfaces, Process, Flow Assurance, Material &Corrosion, Operations, Instrumentation, Civil, Electrical, Subsea, Construction, Installation, Commissioning.
* Review, comment and approve pipeline engineering and installation engineering documents
* Prepare key technical papers on critical issues
* Participate in technical reviews when necessary: at the detailed engineering stage (Company Project reviews, HAZOP, HAZID, SIL etc.)
* Participate in technical reviews related to the procurement/supply activities)
* Participate as necessary to: pipeline and engineering workshops and reviews, audits, 3D model reviews, pre-commissioning and commissioning workshops, risk workshops.
* Development of calculations for design of Pipeline System and writing relevant reports, in particular:
1. Mechanical calculations (wall thickness, buckling, spanning, expansion)
2. Stress Analysis
3. On-bottom roughness
4. Global Buckling
5. Walking Analyses
6. Tie-in and Expansion Loops Analyses
7. Crossing Design
8. Hot Tapping
9. Trenchless (HDD, microtunneling etc)
10. Layability Analyses. 11. Etc.
* Pipeline route selection
* Trenching/backfilling design
* MTOs and BoQ
* Preparation of geophysical and geotechnical surveys Scope of Work and Specifications
* Monitor and control the Design progress and schedule
* IMR Plan & RBI
Candidate’s qualifications, professional experience and skills required for the position
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills are required as well as ability to work in a multi-cultural business environment.
* The Candidate shall have the attitude in managing and solving quickly complex problematics related to the design execution. Proactive and able to work independently and as part of a team.
* Willingness to become familiar with the company standards is needed.
* Cad/GIS training required.
* Engineering degree desired, but not essential
