Location: Nottingham
Start Date: 13th April (after Easter)
Contract: Full-time, temporary until the end of the academic year
Salary: MPS / UPS (dependent on experience)
The Opportunity
A secondary school in Nottingham is seeking an experienced Teacher of English to cover a longer-term sickness absence from after the Easter break (13th April) through to the end of the academic year. This is a full teaching role and requires an established QTS teacher confident working with mixed‑ability KS3 classes.
The Role
* Teach English to Years 8 and 9
* Take responsibility for a Year 10 tutor group
* Plan and deliver engaging, curriculum‑aligned lessons
* Mark and assess student work
* Maintain clear routines and positive behaviour management
* Work collaboratively within the English department
What We're Looking For
* QTS (essential)
* Proven experience teaching English in a UK secondary school
* Confident teaching mixed‑ability KS3 groups
* Strong classroom and behaviour management
* Able to commit full‑time until the end of the academic year
