There's a difference between being Authorised and being listened to. In this role, you'll have both.
Our client gets it. They’re looking for someone to help shape a portfolio - A HV SAP who wants to stay sharp by staying hands-on — someone who knows their way around switchgear, transformers and protection testing, and doesn’t need to be told twice about electrical safety.
This isn’t about ticking maintenance boxes and walking away. You’ll be involved in everything from fault response and equipment testing to helping commission new sites and supporting site teams on what’s working — and what isn’t.
You'll report into a HV Manager who is building a small team to bring HV work in house.
The sites are spread across the UK, so there’s regular travel, and you’ll need a full UK driving licence. The company head office is in the North West of Engand, but your role will be remonte.
You’ll enjoy this if:
* You’re tired of reactive maintenance and want a say in how things are run
* You like being out on site, not just sat on Teams calls
* You get satisfaction from solving real problems, not just raising tickets
* You want your knowledge to be used — and passed on
To be considered you'll need:
* HV SAP experience on systems from 33kV to 415V, including switchgear and protection testing
* Skilled in HV isolations, fault response, and issuing electrical safety documents
* Strong knowledge of regulatory standards and OEM maintenance requirements
* Full UK driving licence with flexibility for nationwide site travel
