About The Role

As Product Development Engineering Delivery Lead you will take responsibility for leading engineering delivery through design and development and lead the technical team managing the design, development, design proving, test, commissioning and in-service support.
Product Development Engineering Lead will be based at our Barnstaple site. This role allows for flexible working.
The salary for this role is up to £72k, depending on experience.
What you’ll be doing
Direct Engineering responsibility for given Product(s)
Meet performance and delivery targets of Ship & Fleet Protection Systems to agreed cost, time and quality
Working closely with the Ship & Fleet Protection Product Technical Authority and Project Management team to define, review and update project delivery plans
Support engineering team members with their projects and programmes in relation to the product
Support and input to performance reviews for members of team who report to different line manager
Prioritise, arbitrate and de-conflict issues
Manage resources effectively seeking to maximise staff productivity
Own Product programme:
Lead definition of requirements
Identify & support product development lifecycle
Support trials / testing of new product developments
Work PM’s to ensure good plans in place for all projects
Successful product integration and delivery
Understand complex problems/issues and develop solutions

Job holder will have strong leadership and people development skillset
Design experience to meet commercial, military and safety standards including CE and safety compliance.
Produce high quality documentation including Design, Test and Qualification specifications.
Job holder will demonstrate strong background in product development, ideally within Ship & Fleet Protection products.
Managing data, issuing reports and have high levels of organisational abilities within cross functional teams.
The candidate will have excellent IT skills, particularly in Microsoft Office and ideally experience of working within company ERP systems.
