Role
Due to rapid growth in our Digital Health, Medtech, and External Assessment Group (EAG) workstream, we are seeking a Senior Consultant. You will lead the day-to-day development of cost-effectiveness and budget impact models for digital health technologies (DHT) and AI healthcare tools.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Model Development: Design decision trees, Markov models, and patient-level simulations to tackle complex decision problems.
2. Project & Team Management: Deliver projects within budget and timeframe guidelines while supervising and training junior staff.
3. Client & Business Development: Manage client expectations, attend meetings, and lead proposals/tenders.
4. Leadership: Present work at national/international conferences and write publications for peer-reviewed journals.
Key Requirements:
5. Education: Post-graduate degree in health economics, mathematics, economics, statistics, operational research, or a related quantitative discipline.
6. Experience: Applied health economics research experience gained within a consultancy, industry, HTA agency, or academic setting.
7. Technical Knowledge: Proven experience creating economic models specifically for DHTs, alongside detailed knowledge of NHS clinical and economic requirements.
8. Skills: Excellent project management, multi-project prioritisation, attention to detail, and strong communication skills.
