This is an excellent opportunity for an organised, enthusiastic individual to become part of a supportive residential property team with genuine long-term development prospects.The role would suit someone with conveyancing experience or a strong legal administrative background who is looking to progress within residential property law.The Role You will provide day-to-day administrative and legal support to fee earners, ensuring residential property matters run efficiently and clients receive a professional, responsive service.Key responsibilities include:
* Providing general administrative support within the residential property team
* Preparing and issuing client quotations
* Acting as a point of contact for clients, solicitors, lenders, and estate agents
* Providing regular client updates and monitoring matter progression
* Opening and closing files on the case management system in line with AML, SRA, and CQS requirements
* Assisting with freehold and leasehold conveyancing matters
* Carrying out online searches and managing search results
* Using the Land Registry portal to submit registrations, respond to requisitions, and obtain official copies, leases, and title plans
* Preparing Stamp Duty Land Tax calculations and submitting applications
* Preparing bills, receipts, and payments for submission to the finance team
* Providing occasional reception cover when required
About You
* Previous experience as a Conveyancing Assistant is preferred
* Good understanding of the day-to-day operations of a legal office
* Confident using Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
* Working knowledge of case management systems
* Excellent organisational skills with strong attention to detail
* Ability to manage multiple matters and work effectively under pressure
* Clear and professional communication skills
* Basic understanding of the residential conveyancing process
