Role Description
This is a full-time permanent hybrid role, based in office with the flexibility to work remotely for 2 days per week. The successful candidate will handle a variety of responsibilities, including but not limited to:
* Drafting Bills of Costs
* Drafting Points of Dispute
* Drafting Points of Reply
* Drafting Part 8 Proceedings / Interim Applications
* Assessing and negotiating cost claims
* Preparing Precedent H Budgets
* Attending CCMCs
* Advising clients
The role involves working collaboratively with clients and team members to ensure accurate cost recovery and reporting.
Requirements / Qualifications
* Minimum of 3 years’ experience as a Costs Draftsperson or Costs Lawyer
* Strong working knowledge of the Civil Procedure Rules and costs case law
* Experience in dealing with costs relating to personal injury, clinical negligence, industrial disease, housing disrepair and commercial litigation
* Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
* Ability to work independently and manage your own caseload
* Strong communication and negotiation skills
