Role Overview:
We are seeking an experiencedMechanical Supervisorto oversee and coordinate mechanical installations on a construction project in Lincoln. This temporary role, offered through an agency, involves working with a reputable contractor to ensure the successful delivery of mechanical systems including LTHW, domestic water, ventilation, specialist plant, and soil & waste systems.
Key Responsibilities:
* Planning & Coordination:
o Schedule and manage the installation of LTHW, domestic water, ventilation, soil & waste, and specialist plant systems.
o Ensure works are executed in line with project timelines and quality standards.
* Technical Review:
o Review mechanical drawings and specifications to ensure compliance and identify potential issues.
o Provide feedback and suggest improvements where necessary.
* Material Management:
o Plan and coordinate timely delivery of materials to site.
o Liaise with the supply chain to ensure availability and quality of required components.
* Stakeholder Coordination:
o Work closely with the supply team, subcontractors, and site operatives to ensure smooth workflow.
o Maintain clear communication with the client, addressing queries and providing updates.
* Reporting & Documentation:
o Prepare and submit internal progress reports.
o Maintain accurate records of site activities, inspections, and installations.
Requirements:
* Proven experience in mechanical supervision within the building services or construction sector.
* Strong understanding of mechanical systems including LTHW, domestic water, ventilation, and specialist plant.
* Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
* Excellent communication and coordination skills.
* CSCS card and relevant site qualifications (e.g., SSSTS or SMSTS) preferred.
Contract Details:
* Start Date:Immediate / As agreed
* Duration:Temporary (length to be confirmed)
* Rate:Competitive, based on experience
* Hours:Full-time, site-based
