About The Role
We are seeking to appoint an experienced, enthusiastic After School Club Assistant to assist the After School Club Supervisor in providing a safe, secure, and stimulating learning environment at Cranborne Middle School.
Start date: 3rd September 2025
3.15pm - 6.15pm Monday to Friday
Total hours per week = 15
Fixed term appointment until 22nd July 2026
The successful applicant will need to be able to fully commit to the role.
Main Responsibilities and Duties
* To carry out planned activities under the guidance and supervision of the After School Club Supervisor.
* Be a member of the team offering high-quality after school care and attend meetings as appropriate.
* Keep records as directed by the After School Club Supervisor.
* Share responsibility for the care, presentation, display, safety, organization, and appearance of the facilities and equipment.
* Promote and safeguard the welfare of children and young people in accordance with the school’s safeguarding and child protection policy.
The successful candidate must have experience in supporting wrap-around care or working with children (breakfast or after school clubs).

Keeping Children Safe in Education
Cranborne Middle School will conduct online searches of shortlisted candidates as part of safeguarding checks. These searches will focus on suitability to work with children and will include social media and internet searches. An appointed panel member, not on the selection panel, will conduct these searches and share relevant findings if of concern.
