We are seeking to recruit a Salaried GP with view to Partnership.
Kingsway Medical Centre holds a Sponsor licence for a skilled worker.
We offer a flexible and supportive working environment, ideal for new GPs or experienced GPs looking for a new challenge; the GP Partners have a range of experience between 9 and 19 years, with two Partners having completed Registrar training at the practice.

Main duties of the job
The post-holder will manage a caseload and deal with a wide range of health needs in a primary care setting, ensuring the highest standards of care for all registered and temporary patients.
About Us
Kingsway Medical Centre is a training practice with Medical Students and GP registrars.
Whilst we work extremely hard, the culture of the practice is friendly and welcoming. Prior to retirement, several members worked at Kingsway for over 30 years. We have an informal meeting room where team members often enjoy lunch together.
The GP team meet daily for an informal coffee catch up/peer support.
The Team Comprises Of :
Three GP Partners (2 of whom trained at the practice and stayed on).
Three Nurse Practitioners providing acute appointments.
Three Practice Nurses and a Health Care Assistant.
The support team comprises of 10 receptionists and a separate admin team.

Job responsibilities
Reports clinically to the GP Partners/administratively to the Practice Manager
The post-holder will manage a caseload and deal with a wide range of health needs in a primary care setting, ensuring the highest standards of care for all registered and temporary patients.
Clinical Responsibilities
In accordance with the practice timetable, as agreed, the post-holder will make him/herself available to undertake a variety of duties including surgery consultations, telephone/electronic consultations and queries, visiting patients at home, checking and signing repeat prescriptions and dealing with queries, paperwork and correspondence in a timely fashion
Making professional, autonomous decisions in relation to presenting problems, whether self-referred or referred from other health care workers within the organisation
Assessing the health care needs of patients with undifferentiated and undiagnosed problems
Screening patients for disease risk factors and early signs of illness
In consultation with patients and in line with current practice disease management protocols, developing care plans for health
Providing health education
Admitting or discharging patients to and from the caseload and referring to other care providers as appropriate
Refer patients for further opinions and interventions according to Practice protocols
Recording clear and contemporaneous consultation notes to agreed standards
Collecting data for audit purposes
Compiling and issuing computer-generated acute and repeat prescriptions
Prescribing in accordance with the practice prescribing formulary (or generically) whenever this is clinically appropriate
Participate in the training of medical students/Registrars as required
In general the post-holder will be expected to undertake all the normal duties and responsibilities associated with a GP working within primary care
