Electrical (T&I)
Location: Chelsea, with occasional cover at Sutton Job Type: Full-time, Permanent Company: Equans - Corporate Services Salary: Competitive + excellent benefits
Equans is looking for a qualified and experienced Electrical (T&I) Engineer to join our maintenance team based at the Institute of Cancer Research (ICR) site in Sutton. You'll be responsible for the safe delivery of electrical maintenance, testing & inspections, and fault diagnosis across critical healthcare and research facilities, with occasional cover required at our Chelsea location.
Key Responsibilities:
* Carry out planned and reactive electrical maintenance on building services systems.
* Complete electrical testing and inspections, including EICRs.
* Respond to equipment breakdowns and faults, ensuring minimal disruption to operations.
* Use CAFM and PDA systems to log work in real time, including detailed job notes.
* Support electrical shutdowns and act as an Authorised Person (AP) when required.
* Supervise contractors on-site and ensure compliance with safety procedures.
* Participate in the on-call rota and occasional out-of-hours work.
What We're Looking For:
Qualifications:
* NVQ Level 3 or City & Guilds in Electrical Installation (or equivalent).
* 18th Edition Wiring Regulations (BS7671).
* City & Guilds 2391 (or equivalent in Inspection & Testing).
Experience:
* Minimum 5 years of experience in electrical maintenance within commercial or critical environments.
* Strong knowledge of building services (M&E).
* Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and schematics.
Skills:
* Proficient with CAFM systems and Microsoft Office.
* Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
* Customer-focused, self-motivated, and able to work independently or as part of a team.
