Fidra Energy is developing a major grid-scale battery asset at Thorpe Marsh and is looking for an Operations Manager to lead the safe, reliable and commercially optimised operation of the site.
Reporting to the Station Director, you’ll lead day-to-day operations and oversee the transition from construction through to full commercial operation.
What you’ll be responsible for
* Leading the operational performance of the Thorpe Marsh BESS asset
* Preparing the site for operations ahead of Commercial Operation Date (COD)
* Building and leading the site operations team
* Managing OEM and O&M contractors and holding them accountable to performance obligations
* Maximising asset availability and revenue performance in UK energy markets
* Acting as the operational interface with NESO and National Grid Electricity Transmission
* Ensuring strong HSE leadership and regulatory compliance
What you’ll bring
You’ll already have experience operating grid-scale battery energy storage assets and understand what it takes to run them safely, reliably and efficiently.
You’ll be comfortable leading operational teams, managing contractor relationships and ensuring complex energy infrastructure performs consistently in a live market environment.
