Responsibilities
* Adhering to company safety policies and procedures at all times.
* Approves incoming materials by confirming specifications; conducting visual and measurement tests; rejecting and returning unacceptable materials.
* Approves in-process production by confirming specifications; conducting visual and measurement tests; communicating required adjustments to production supervisor.
* Approves finished products by confirming specifications; conducting visual and measurement tests; returning products for re-work; confirming re-work.
* Documents inspection results by completing reports and logs; summarising re-work and waste; inputting data into quality database (IFS).
* Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading technical publications.
* Drives root cause corrective action and continuous improvement.
* Supports the development, implementation and training of policies and procedures.
* Co‑ordination of NCRs through to satisfactory closure.
* Co‑ordination of ISO documentation and procedures.
Other
* To adhere to CDE policy and practice.
* To carry out any other duties within reason and capability associated with this role.
Skills Needed
Improvement, managerial/operational, people.
Required Criteria
* Minimum 2 years’ experience in a similar role.
* Educated to GCSE level in Mathematics and English.
* Proven organisational skills with the ability to effectively plan, organise and control daily workload.
* Able to work under pressure and to tight deadlines.
* Attentive to detail.
Desired Criteria
* Minimum 2 years’ experience of quality processes.
* Paint inspection experience.
* Technical qualification relevant to the role.
