The Supervisor for Sterile Services will have extensive knowledge and skills of requirements for medical device reprocessing in line with the ISO standard. They will also have knowledge of all potential risk to products within a sterile services department. They will support the Management team in ensuring staff conform to the departmental Quality Management System, Trust policy and procedures, highlighting immediately any areas of concern. Main duties of the job The post holder will be responsible for assessing, organising and planning the daily workflow within the Sterile Services to ensure maximum usage of resources. Act as a resource to support the technicians to reduce the Departmental and individual non-conformances and provide feedback to the Management team. Provide ongoing training to technicians with the support of the Management team. The post holder will be expected to deputise for the Production Manager in their absence with the support of the Decontamination Manager. Communicate with customers regarding products and issues. To undertake this role the supervisor must be able to root cause and report on incidents relating to product and staff. Ensure the efficient and effective operation of the department.
