Accounts Officer
Location: Downpatrick
Hours: 37 hours per week (Mon–Fri)
Hourly Rate: £14.35 per hour
About the Role
We are seeking an organised, motivated and customer‑focused Accounts Officer to join our South Regional Management Team. Working within a busy frontline environment, you’ll play a key role in supporting tenants, maintaining accurate financial records, and ensuring smooth operational processes across the area team.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong communication and administrative skills who thrives in a fast‑paced and people‑centred setting.
Key Responsibilities
1. Carry out arrears prevention using HMS
2. Liaise with internal departments regarding tenant Universal Credit and Housing Benefit
3. Support vulnerable tenants with rates applications
4. Set up Direct Debits in accordance with policy
5. Maintain accurate financial data and support general office functions
6. Provide high‑quality frontline service and handle queries professionally
What You Need
Essential Experience & Skills
7. 1–5 years’ experience in a frontline or customer‑facing environment
8. Intermediate IT skills (Microsoft Office and digital systems)
9. Strong organisational and communication abilities
10. Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Qualifications
11. Minimum 5 GCSEs

12. Access NI (Basic) check required
13. Professional registration: Not required
Working Pattern & Benefits
14. Breaks: Minimum 20‑minute break, flexible between 12pm–2pm
