Due to internal promotion, we are seeking an enthusiastic, caring, and committed receptionist to join our well-established, vibrant, friendly, and people-oriented dispensing practice in the picturesque Lune Valley.

Negotiable hours to suit, including one late evening (until 6.30 pm). We offer 4.2 weeks of annual leave (pro-rata), bank holidays, the NHS pension scheme, and free parking.
Main duties of the job
The purpose of the role is to:
* Offer general assistance to the practice team and project a positive and friendly image to patients and visitors, either in person or via telephone.
* Receive, assist, and direct patients to the appropriate service or healthcare professional in a courteous, efficient, and effective manner.
* Undertake administrative duties to support the smooth running of the practice, including clerical support to clinical staff and team members.
* Facilitate effective communication between patients, the primary health care team, secondary care, and other healthcare agencies.

We serve over 6,500 patients with a diverse clinical and admin team, including 5 Partners, 2 Advanced Nurse Practitioners, 2 Nurses, 1 HCA, Dispensary team, Social Prescriber, Clinical Pharmacist, First Contact Physio, Mental Health Practitioner, and a General Practice Assistant, supported by a welcoming Admin team and Digital Lead.
We are a training practice for GP registrars and medical students, located in a modern, spacious building with a smaller satellite surgery in Hornby. The District Nursing team is based on-site. We have top ratings in patient feedback surveys and are part of the Western Dales Primary Care Network (WDPCN), working closely with Sedbergh and Bentham.
