About The Role
We are looking for an inspiring Store Design Project Manager who will manage key store design projects in Europe – North & South. The role involves managing projects from initial creative concept to store opening, predominantly for department‑store execution across Europe. You will foster an exceptional Charlotte Tilbury customer experience while meeting cost, schedule, and operational requirements.
As a Store Design Project Manager, EMEA, you will
* Ensure design standards and concepts are maintained in all architectural details.
* Manage design packs for internal approval and the external/retailer sign‑off process.
* Coordinate, assist, and develop Charlotte Tilbury Beauty Inc. consultants, including ME engineers, external PMs, and architects.
* Understand and interpret DDA and building codes and apply for relevant building applications where applicable, e.g. advert consent.
* Conduct material and detail research with suppliers and consultants for architectural store design elements, considering construction standards, maintenance, operations, and procurement needs.
* Ensure that the execution of assigned projects aligns with brand strategy, project schedules, and budgets.
* Work closely with the design team to review and obtain approval of manufacturing drawings, ensuring design integrity and safety standards for assigned projects; communicate effectively via verbal and drawing skills.
* Provide and manage CPA for all store design projects and present updates to the business, managing the entire process from design to execution.
* Identify and propose solutions to resolve issues that may impact project schedule, cost, or design integrity across multiple projects.
* Attend installation of new concessions and stores to monitor standards and snagging issues.
Who You Will Work With
* You will report directly to our Head of Store Design, EMEA.
* You will work cross‑functionally across the business, including Global Store Design & VM, EU project management, commercial, VM, marketing teams, as well as external suppliers, the on‑ground retail teams, and retail partners.
About You
* Ideally, you have strong, demonstrable experience in a Store Design or Project Manager role, with a deep understanding of the retail environment and experience launching new stores in new markets.
* Extensive knowledge of accessibility and building codes is a must.
* Experience managing the approval process for retail stores in all types of environments (new stores, existing stores, historic street‑facing buildings).
* Understanding of basic mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and structural concepts, as well as awareness of design trends and materials.
* Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines, and remain creative and solution‑oriented, especially concerning construction materials and methods.
* Exceptional eye for detail and vision on how to use spaces and commercial opportunities.
* Expert communication skills; able to influence up with ease, highly organised, and possess exceptional prioritisation skills.
* Skilled in visual, written, and verbal communication of design issues.
* Ability to balance design with operational needs and budget objectives to create exceptional store environments and customer experience.
* PROFESSIONAL proficiency in Vectorworks, AutoCAD, and basic Photoshop, InDesign, Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
* Enjoy working at pace, ruthlessly prioritising, and remaining flexible, adaptable, and willing to learn.
* A strong communicator who will lead SD projects across Europe, dealing with suppliers/contractors and reporting to EMEA HO SD – effective communication is key.
* A detailed mind from CPAs, budgets to contracts – eye for detail.
* A problem solver ready to offer solutions when issues arise.
* Flexible and able to travel across the EU region as and when needed.
