About Operations
The Operations division is at the heart of our customers' experience here at THG. We manufacture a wide range of sports nutrition and cosmetic consumer goods that we then dispatch to our customers in over 200 countries worldwide from our purpose-built, innovative manufacturing and distribution centres.
About the Role
The Engineering/Facilities team are responsible for maintaining all THG sites, ensuring that all colleagues and visitors are in a clean, safe environment while on site.
As an Electrician Technician, you will perform day-to-day maintenance for reactive, quoted and planned tasks, compliance inspections and regulatory inspections against the building's electrical infrastructure and on-site assets.
Electrician Responsibilities:
1. Diagnose and rectify faults of an electrical/ electronic nature, using wiring diagrams, manuals, drawings and test equipment, for all plant, equipment and services
2. Follow electrical/ electronic planned maintenance programs
3. Recondition and repair electrical and electronic components, controls and equipment.
4. Utilise and follow administration control systems of the maintenance and associated departments in the normal course of employment as an electrician
5. Initiate and carry out electrical/ electronic modifications to new and existing plant equipment and services.
6. Perform facility inspections and report on conditions affecting operations
7. Escort and manage specialist contractors and work beside them as required
8. Respond, diagnose and resolve electrical emergencies
9. Comply with all safety procedures and requirements
10. Perform other tasks assigned as requested.
11. There is a good degree of flexibility required in the role therefore there will be other general maintenance tasks assigned from time to time depending on the business needs.
Role Requirements
12. Good literacy and numeracy skills.
13. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
14. Previous Electrical Experience, Lighting, Wiring, Alarm Systems, and Fire Prevention Systems
15. Knowledge of building regulations and standards, safety regulations, and safety practices
16. Ability to read and follow electrical drawings.
17. 18th Edition wiring regulations
18. Working knowledge of IEE regulations, City & Guilds 2360 and 2382 qualifications, and inspection and testing certificate (2391)
19. Demonstrate familiarity with NICEIC requirements
20. Excellent problem-solving skills.
21. Ability to plan ahead.
22. Able to prioritize work and manage their own time.
23. Ability to work on own initiative.
24. 'Can do' attitude.
25. High level of H+S Awareness.
26. Good level of computer literacy and knowledge of MS Office packages.
27. Relevant electrical qualification e.g. NVQ Level 3 Electrical Installation Diploma
