Relief Store Manager
What's the role?
As a Relief Store Manager, you'll work across several stores in the local area, supporting Store's to deliver exceptional experiences for our pets, colleagues, and customers every day. You'll play a key role in driving sales, embedding our values, and ensuring each store operates safely, efficiently, and in line with our brand standards.
As the Relief Manager, you will take full responsibility for the store, leading the team and overseeing all aspects of people, performance, and the commercial success of the business. From team development and recruitment to stock management, customer service, and maintaining a safe, high‑standard environment, you'll ensure the store operates at its very best while you are in charge.
Your Key Responsibilities Will Include
Leading and inspiring your team to create a positive, fun, and engaging environment where pets, colleagues, and customers come first.
Driving sales growth, maximising commercial opportunities, and achieving key KPIs through strong floor leadership and coaching.
Delivering operational excellence, including recruitment, performance management, stock control, merchandising, and compliance with health and safety standards.
Acting as Duty Manager, confidently running the store in the absence of the Store Manager.
Role modelling our PCC values and consistently contributing to the store's performance, culture, and success.
We'll support you with comprehensive training and development, giving you the knowledge, confidence, and leadership skills needed to deliver outstanding service and care to our customers and their pets while growing your career with us.
Who are we looking for?
We'd love to hear from you if you:
Have at least 1 year of management experience in a retail environment.
Are passionate about retail and delivering exceptional results.
Are flexible to work a 7-day shift pattern, including weekends and bank holidays.
Have excellent communication and leadership skills to engage and inspire your team.
Are ready to commit to 6 months of training, covering customer service, health and safety, and pet care.
