The company produces various parts for a range of demanding industries including aerospace and defence and works with an AS9100 quality system. Key Responsibilities Develop, implement, and maintain the Quality Management System (QMS) in accordance with AS9100 standards. Lead all aspects of quality assurance and compliance systems, ensuring continued alignment with customer specifications. Oversee health and safety management programmes, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and fostering a culture of safety within the workplace. Conduct regular audits and inspections to ensure systems are adhered to and improvements are implemented as necessary. Lead continuous improvement initiatives and ensure team adherence to precision engineering processes. Provide leadership and training to team members on QHSE best practices and policies. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including machining, planning, and sales, to drive quality and process improvements. Manage, mentor, and support the Inspection team, promoting accountability and performance enhancement.Requirements Experience in Quality management within a precision engineering environment. In-depth knowledge of AS9100 standards and Quality Management Systems. Strong understanding of health and safety management principles and regulations. Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to influence at all levels. Proactive and detail-oriented, with a focus on continuous improvement. Strong problem-solving abilities and the capability to work collaboratively with diverse teams.This is a permanent job with a starting salary dependant on experience.
