Estate and Health & Safety Team Coordinator

As an Estate and Health & Safety Team Coordinator with Rushcliffe Care Group, you will be part of the team responsible for maintaining safe, compliant, and well-managed environments across our services. Your role will have a direct impact on the safety of our service users, staff, and visitors, ensuring that estates and health and safety standards are consistently met.

About the Role

As an Estate and Health & Safety Team Coordinator, your primary responsibility will be to support the coordination of estates, facilities, and health and safety activity across the group. You will work closely with the Safety, Health, Environment and Facilities (SHEF) Manager and operational teams to ensure compliance is maintained and risks are managed effectively.

Your key responsibilities will include:

1. Supporting the coordination of planned preventative maintenance and reactive works across all services.
2. Carrying out site visits to monitor standards, identify risks, and ensure safe working environments.
3. Assisting with health and safety compliance, including audits, training, and documentation.
4. Supporting the investigation of incidents, accidents, and near misses, including follow-up actions.
5. Working with contractors and suppliers to ensure work is completed safely and to required standards.
6. Assisting with refurbishment projects and wider estates initiatives.
7. Supporting recruitment and onboarding processes within estates and maintenance teams.
8. Maintaining accurate records and reporting on compliance activity across sites.

What You’ll Need

Hold one of the following as a minimum:

21. IOSH Working Safely
22. IOSH Managing Safely
23. NEBOSH General Certificate in Occupational Health and Safety

You should have previous experience in health and safety management, along with experience in estates or facilities management. You will be expected to be reliable, punctual, and able to work flexibly across multiple sites. You must be able to follow instructions and work safely at all times, with a positive attitude and strong communication skills to support effective working across teams.

About the Service

This is a multi-site role based from Thorpe House, supporting services across the Rushcliffe Care Group. You will be required to travel regularly between locations to support estates and health and safety activity.

All roles are subject to an enhanced DBS check, the cost of which is covered by Rushcliffe Care.
