My client, a market-leading and innovative consultancy based in the heart of Bristol, is seeking an Associate Flood Risk and Drainage Engineer to lead their Water Team in Bristol. Hybrid working arrangements are available.
Candidate Requirements
1. Strong academic background in a relevant discipline, with Chartered status or near achievement.
2. Extensive experience with a UK-based consultancy specializing in flood risk, hydrology, hydraulic modelling, flood alleviation, drainage, or river engineering.
3. Drive and determination to develop new business opportunities, with experience in project management, promoting services, and mentoring team members.
Role Responsibilities
This role offers the chance to lead a team of engineers in Bristol, managing projects, mentoring staff, and developing new business. Key tasks include:
1. Managing projects related to flood risk, drainage, hydraulic modelling, flood alleviation, and river restoration across the UK.
2. Supporting the technical team and coordinating client updates.
3. Overseeing projects such as:
* Flood alleviation schemes
* River restoration and habitat management
* Pollution incidents and nutrient neutrality
* Drainage strategies and designs
* Hydrological and hydraulic modelling
* Bid proposals and tenders
* Aviation and renewable energy projects
