Senior Therapy Assistant

The role involves clinical, administrative, and clinical audit duties, requiring good technology and communication skills. The ideal candidate will have experience working within therapy rehabilitation.

Main Duties
* Complete admin tasks to support the running of the team.
* Input and manage appointment data using hospital computer systems promptly.
* Assist in setting up the gym/therapy area.
* Establish a therapeutic relationship with patients under the direction of registered therapists.
* Report back to supervising staff regarding individual patient needs/abilities.
* Liaise with MDT members and external agencies to ensure effective management of patient care.
* Accept responsibility for delegated workload and manage own time effectively.
* Record and report findings accurately and timely according to standard procedure.
Qualifications
* NVQ III in health related subject or equivalent.
* Care certificate or willingness to undertake.
* GCSE Maths and English – Grade 4 or above.
Knowledge and Experience
* Demonstrable healthcare experience.
* General understanding of cardiac and respiratory clinical conditions.
* A commitment to personal development and development of others.
* Demonstrate understanding of this role and how it may contribute to clinical outcomes.
* Additional training in cardiac or respiratory conditions.
Skills and Abilities
* Understanding of information technology and administrative services.
* Good interpersonal skills with effective written and verbal communication.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* Good application of IT skills and administrative systems.
* Organisational and prioritisation skills.
Working Conditions
* Ability to fulfil the travel requirements of the post.

Salary
£25,760 to £27,476 a year per annum pro rata.
