About the role
We are seeking a Customer Service Assistant to join our team at One Stop, a subsidiary of Tesco. In this fast-paced retail environment, no two days are the same.
You will play a vital role in daily store operations by providing excellent customer service, stocking shelves, processing payments, and maintaining the store's appearance.
As customer satisfaction is our priority, you will continually seek ways to improve service through on-the-job coaching and feedback.
With your guidance, our store will remain a safe place to work and shop.
You will be Responsible For
* Serving customers with passion and pride, delivering natural and great service.
* Encouraging customer feedback via the ‘Have Your Say’ survey.
* Working across all store areas including online, tills, replenishment, vending, and stock routines to meet customer needs.
* Applying training to ensure all work is done safely.
* Participating in seasonal, community, and charity events to foster an inclusive atmosphere.
* Understanding store performance and your role in delivering profit.
* Living our values, making everyone feel welcome, and following policies.
* Clocking in and out at the start and end of shifts for accurate pay.
* Following security procedures and wearing safety equipment to keep everyone safe.
* Following the Think 25 policy when serving age-restricted products.
* Responding promptly to assistance calls or interventions at self-service checkouts, explaining your actions to customers.
* Maintaining a clean, tidy, and organized environment, keeping aisles clear.
* Occasionally managing the shift in the absence of the Shift Leader or Store Manager.
* Following all training to ensure safety and legal compliance.
* If applicable, managing the day-to-day operations of the Post Office, including passing necessary background checks; failure to do so will result in withdrawal of the job offer.
