Headway Tyneside provides information, opportunities and skills, and a vibrant supportive community to enhance the lives of people affected by an acquired brain injury (ABI).
Responsibilities
* Join a voluntary Board and contribute as an HR Trustee with a focus on supporting our staff and volunteers.
* Oversee recruitment, induction, training, day-to-day work and development to ensure a positive employee/volunteer experience.
* Ensure legal compliance, policy development and oversight of HR practices.
* Work to establish robust HR processes and practices that align with the organisation’s objectives and values.
Qualifications
* You will likely be an HR professional by background, or have other relevant experience.
* You will be self-motivated and keen to be part of a supportive team of Trustees invested in Headway Tyneside’s work.
* You do not need a direct link to the ABI community, but you should be interested in learning about their stories, needs, challenges and rewards as they relate to staff and volunteers.
What we offer
We are a small charity (2 staff; 6 volunteers) with a commitment to high standards of professional and employee/volunteer support.
