Job Summary
At WVT, we are a Level 1+ Special Care Baby Unit providing high quality, evidence-based care for premature and sick infants born at 30 weeks gestation and above.
The unit has 12 cots in total: 1 Intensive Care cot for stabilization and transfer to Level 3, 2 High Dependency cots, 6 special care cots, and 3 transitional care beds for mother and baby. Our vision is to work in partnership with families to promote family integrated care, delivering high-quality care to babies and their families.
We are working towards implementing UNICEF BFI neonatal standards, having achieved Bronze Accreditation and working towards Silver for the BLISS Baby Charter.
If you are a Registered Nurse, Midwife, or a student nurse interested in neonatal care, this could be the opportunity you have been looking for. We are dedicated to staff development and will support postgraduate study, including neonatal care modules and a degree in Neonatal Critical Care.

Main duties of the job
As a Band 5 Staff Nurse, you will care for pre-term and term babies and their families across the neonatal service, including transitional care beds. You will work within a multidisciplinary team to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individual care programs.
You must be committed to delivering family-centered care in partnership with families. As a member of our small, friendly, professional team, you should be flexible, reliable, and motivated to succeed.
