We’re looking for a Technical Program Manager, Optical System to join Snap Lab team at Snap Inc!
What you’ll do:
In this exciting role you will lead cross-functional engineering efforts delivering cutting edge technologies that will enable the mass adoption of Augmented Reality glasses. You will work with high performing, industry leading, engineering and operations teams who are pushing the boundaries of what’s possible.
1. Create integrated project schedules between hardware and software that align with product requirements, technical challenges, tooling lead-times, and business needs
2. Communicate with hardware and software engineering, operations, and quality teams to develop & capture requirements, identify risks, plan and drive execution of deliverables
3. Plan milestones, anticipate setbacks, and support troubleshooting and/or contingency plans
4. Drive best practices and production processes in a fast-paced production setting
5. Document and execute on product specifications and test plans
6. Develop business relationships with external partners, contractors, and vendors
7. The role may require availability for international travel (10% - 30%)
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
8. Expert in schedule creation and management for hardware products
9. Ability to design experiments (DOE) for hardware build configurations and hardware build management
10. Proficient with materials planning and lead times for hardware builds
11. Skilled at risk identification and mitigation across hardware and software
12. Strong motivational leadership skills
Minimum Qualifications:
13. Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, optical engineering, industrial engineering, or equivalent years of experience
14. 3+ years experience of electrical, mechanical, optical, or hardware project management at a tech or consumer electronics company
Preferred Qualifications:
15. Proven track record of interdisciplinary system integration of electrical, mechanical, optical, and software components
16. Experience with project/issue tracking and version control software
17. Experience driving complex programs in a fast-paced consumer electronics environment
18. 5+ years experience of electrical, mechanical, optical, or hardware project management at a tech or consumer electronics company
