Are you looking for a role that makes a real difference to quality in childcare across Swansea? We are excited to announce four brand-new posts within the Early Years Commissioning Team. This is a unique opportunity to shape and improve childcare provision across Swansea.
As a Childcare Quality Assurance Officer, you will play a key role in monitoring and supporting high-quality pedagogy and driving continuous improvement across the childcare sector.
What you'll do
* Visit childcare providers to monitor quality and to develop and support improvement plans.
* Provide guidance, advice and model best practice.
* Support the delivery of training and share expertise with practitioners.
* Work under the guidance of Early Years Advisory Teachers to raise standards.
* Ensure compliance with national and local programmes, including Flying Start, The Childcare Offer and ECPLC.
What we're looking for
* Experienced childcare practitioners or leaders who understand and model high-quality practice.
* Strong organisational and record-keeping skills.
* Robust knowledge of current and emerging early years programmes and legislation.
* Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.

This is currently a full-time, temporary role until 31 March 2028, giving you plenty of time to make a real impact. Working arrangements are agile, combining regular visits to childcare providers, working from home and time at our Guildhall office.
