Your new role
1. Act as Principal Designer under CDM Regulations, leading on health & safety risk management throughout the design lifecycle.
2. Provide expert guidance to design teams, project managers, and stakeholders on integrating health and safety considerations into design decisions.
3. Develop, implement, and monitor project-specific CDM strategies, ensuring legalpliance and best practice.
4. Coordinate design risk reviews and ensure hazards are identified, eliminated, or controlled effectively.
5. Liaise with clients, contractors, and multidisciplinary teams to ensure health and safety objectives are achieved.
6. Prepare and maintain pre-construction information and health & safety files.
7. Deliver training, workshops, and mentoring to enhance CDM awareness and capability across project teams.
8. Champion a proactive safety culture, driving innovation and continuous improvement in design risk management.
What you'll need to succeed
9. NEBOSH Construction or equivalent
10. Chartered membership of IOSH or equivalent professional body (CMaPS)
11. Extensive experience acting as Principal Designer under CDM Regulations onplex, large-scale projects.
12. Proven ability to influence design oues and manage risk in multidisciplinary environments.
13. Excellentmunication and stakeholder management skills, with confidence to advise at senior levels.
14. Experience in developing and implementing health and safety management systems within design-led projects.
