CIVIL LITIGATION LAWYER – LOCAL AUTHORITY
UP TO £70 PER HOUR | FULL-TIME | 6–12 MONTHS | HYBRID / REMOTE

A Local Authority based in the Greater Manchester / North West region is seeking an experienced Civil Litigation Locum to join its well‑established legal team for a 6–12 month assignment. You’ll be part of a supportive group of solicitors and legal officers handling a diverse and high‑quality caseload across core areas of public‑sector litigation.
Key Areas of Work Include:
Judicial Review – including SEND‑related challenges and adult social care charging
Property Litigation – dilapidations, injunctions, forfeiture, nuisance
Housing & Property Tribunal Work – First‑tier and Upper Tribunal matters, improvement notice disputes, civil penalties
Commercial & Contractual Disputes
Employment Litigation
Debt & Fee Recovery
Tenant Insolvency Advice
About You:
5+ years’ PQE across relevant litigation areas
Qualified Solicitor, CILEx Lawyer or Barrister with litigation rights
Confident managing a mixed and complex caseload independently
Prior local authority litigation experience is essential
Working Arrangement:
Hybrid preferred, but fully remote will be considered for strong candidates.
