We are recruiting an Evening Hygiene Operative to facilitate the provision of excellence standards of hygiene throughout the factory environment both internally and externally to contribute to excellent product quality. The Hygiene Team play a vital role in our business ensuring food safety and maintaining a safe working environment.
Responsibilities
* Follow Standard Operating Procedures for completion of hygiene tasks.
* Cleaning surfaces - thoroughly cleaning and disinfecting floors, ceilings, and machinery in the slaughter hall and boning hall areas after production.
* Be H&S conscious, using the correct PPE to prepare chemicals and carry out your hygiene duties.
* Follow HACCP (hazard analysis and critical control points) protocols: ensure cleaning practices align with food safety regulations. Support the need for change and actively get involved in continually looking for ways to improve performance.
* To carry out general and specific hygiene duties in accordance with the methods and safe systems of work detailed on the cleaning instruction cards at the specified frequency.
* Able to work in a small team or independently; you will follow a cleaning schedule for the production lines, equipment, internal and external areas throughout the premises.
* To clean, separate and dispose of waste according to company policy.
* Deep cleaning after each shift or when required of lamb / beef production areas.
Skills and Qualifications
* Ability to work as part of a team
* Have a proactive approach to Health and Safety
* Have the ability to follow instructions
* Be able to work alone or as a team member
* Have a proactive approach to Food Safety
* Previous experience in the same or similar environment would be preferable however full training will be provided.
* Food safety level 2 qualification (preferable)
