Occupational Therapist, Band 5 Permanent - Full Time - 37.5 hours per week This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a multi-disciplinary ward team in an Older Adult Mental Health setting, which includes a Band 6 OT and a Band 3 OT assistant. The team is part of the wider community of Occupational Therapist and other Allied Health professions who work within the Acute and Crisis Directorate. It is a friendly and supportive team and we welcome new staff and the ideas and skills they bring. The post involves occupational therapy specific work with a mix of opportunities including:
Responsibilities
* Carrying an inpatient caseload, including doing assessments and 1:1 interventions to build functional and social skills.
* Working closely with the ward Multi-disciplinary Team (MDT)
* Group interventions.
* To manage a clinical caseload
* To work as a member of the multi-disciplinary team
* To support the development of evidence-based practice
* To provide OT specific assessment and interventions via groups and individual work in the three core areas of: Self care - Work/Education - Leisure
* To contribute to service development
* To work independently without direct supervision
* To develop skills, knowledge and experience through participation in Preceptorship and the Trust-wide Band 5 Occupational Therapy Development Programme.
