Location: Horsham Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent Salary: £55,000 per annum (dependent on experience) About the Role We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Estimator to join our growing team based in Horsham. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates and tender submissions for a range of projects, ensuring competitive pricing while maintaining profitability and quality standards. Key Responsibilities Review drawings, specifications, and tender documentation. Prepare detailed cost estimates and pricing schedules. Obtain and evaluate quotations from suppliers and subcontractors. Identify project risks and opportunities during the tender process. Liaise with clients, suppliers, subcontractors, and internal teams. Prepare and submit tender proposals within required deadlines. Attend site visits and pre-tender meetings where necessary. Maintain accurate records of estimates, costs, and tender outcomes. Support handover of successful projects to the delivery team. Requirements Previous experience in an Estimator role within construction, civil engineering, utilities, infrastructure, or drainage sectors. Strong understanding of estimating principles and tender processes. Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications. Excellent numerical and analytical skills. Proficient in Microsoft Office and estimating software. Strong communication and organisational skills. Ability to work independently and manage multiple tenders simultaneously. Desirable Relevant construction, engineering, or commercial qualification. Experience working on infrastructure, highways, drainage, utilities, or groundworks projects.
