Working as part of the wider DT&I team this post will be part of the Infrastructure Team working on ensuring the servers, storage, security and cloud aspects of the environment are kept up to date, troubleshoot any issues that are logged or detected, advise on suitability of new systems or technology, be a technical lead on project delivery and being a point of contact for other members of the DT&I team.

Technical support for all servers, storage and cloud services provided by DT&I to Dorset County Hospital.

EDUCATION, QUALIFICATIONS & TRAINING
Essential criteria
* 5x GSCEs (must include English and Mathematics)
* Educated to relevant degree level or equivalent technical experience
* ITIL Service Management Foundation Certificate or equivalent knowledge gained through experience.
KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE
Essential criteria
* Significant IT technical experience in a complex Microsoft Enterprise environment including Active Directory, Group Policy, SCCM/Intune, Windows & Linux Server, Office 365 apps, Azure administration and PowerShell scripting
* Good understanding of GDPR and security technologies
* Evidence of strong technical project leadership experience including planning and implementation of new technologies
* Proven experience of supporting an MDM and security products, for example Sophos, MDE or inTune
* Experience of managing NHS specific IT infrastructure
SKILLS & ABILITIES
Essential criteria
* Very effective oral, written, documentation and communication skills
* Able to establish relationships, maintain contact and communicate effectively with people from a wide variety of backgrounds and with people at all levels in the organisation
* Certified attendance and certification at courses (or proven ability in): Microsoft Azure/Entra management
* Evidence of attendance and experience in maintaining VMware technologies
* Broad experience of working with project methodologies for example, Agile and Prince2
