Job Description
Morson Edge are working with a well-established Tier 2 main contractor with a strong footprint across Yorkshire, who are looking to appoint a Project Quantity Surveyor due to continued growth and a strong pipeline of projects in the Yorkshire region.
This contractor delivers high-quality schemes across residential and commercial sectors and is known for repeat business, collaborative project teams, and long-term staff retention.
The Role
As Project Quantity Surveyor, you will take full commercial responsibility for a project from pre-construction through to final account, working closely with site and senior management teams.
Key Responsibilities
* Full commercial management of residential or commercial developments
* Cost control, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting
* Procurement and management of subcontractor packages
* Valuations, variations, and change management
* Interim applications and final accounts
* Risk and value management
* Working closely with site teams, consultants, and clients
* Supporting junior commercial staff as required
Requirements
* Previous experience as a Quantity Surveyor with a main contractor
* Experience on residential and/or commercial projects
* Good working knowledge of JCT contracts
* Strong commercial and negotiation skills
* Excellent communication and stakeholder management
* Degree in Quantity Surveying or related discipline (or equivalent experience)
