Job Description
The key responsibilities of a Payroll Officer include, but may not be limited to:
3. Ensure all payroll information is processed accurately, in line with deadlines, internal policies/procedures, Government legislation and HMRC requirements.
4. Ensure the timely inputting of payroll data and completion of payroll runs to enable all colleagues to be paid correctly and on time.
5. Contribute to a range of payroll projects and activities as requested by the Payroll Manager or Payroll Advisor.
6. Assist in the development of team plans and timetables to improve each customer's experience.
7. Assist in providing key stakeholders with support, information, data and advice in relation to pay and benefits.
8. Process all aspects of pension and expenses administration.

The Successful Applicant
The successful a Payroll Officer should possess:
9. Public Sector and Government Background
10. Knowledge of pay procedures and statutory legislation
11. Experience of working in a payroll department
12. Working knowledge of payroll screens and transfer facilities within the HR system.
13. Comprehensive knowledge of computer input and the use of spreadsheets.
14. Exceptional IT skills
15. The ability to form and maintain positive relationships with a wide spectrum of people.
Ability to commute to Lancashire.
