Key Responsibilities
As the Head of Section, you will lead the department through a period of growth and innovation, aiming to establish it as a nationally recognised centre of excellence. Your responsibilities will include overseeing curriculum development to ensure it aligns with advancements in STEM and advanced manufacturing technologies. A key aspect of this role is to build strong partnerships with industry to create work placement opportunities and ensure the curriculum meets market needs. You will manage the deployment of new facilities, integrate cutting-edge technology into teaching, and mentor a dynamic team of educators.
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
We’re looking for a candidate with strong leadership experience, ideally in the engineering or education field, who is passionate about improving student outcomes and the overall quality of education. A deep understanding of advanced engineering technologies and industry trends will be key, but so will your ability to connect with people. Building strong relationships with students, staff, and external partners will be at the heart of this role.
