Overview
Pennine Care NHS Foundation Trust is looking to recruit a part‑time substantive Consultant Psychiatrist to join a post based in Bury, Manchester. The service operates in a sectorised model and is staffed by 2 WTE sector Consultants in Older People Psychiatry, with an additional 0.6 WTE Consultant providing support to clinics and the care home liaison service. Outpatient clinics are supported by a Junior Doctor (NW Deanery training schemes) and GP plus trainees.
Job responsibilities include providing high‑quality mental‑health care for older people with severe and enduring mental health problems in outpatient clinics; working closely with other teams and consultants to ensure coherent and high‑quality mental‑health care within Bury; supporting service development and attending local and divisional meetings; and contributing to teaching of medical, nursing staff and 4th‑year medical students.

Qualifications
Applicants must be on the GMC's Specialist Register or eligible for inclusion, or be within six months of the anticipated award of a Certificate of Completion of Training (CCT) in Older People Psychiatry at the time of interview for the post.
