Manage the new MTFI (Motor Transport Fuelling Installation) facility under the direction of JMC (Joint Military Command) South East. To facilitate and administer MTFI supplies, ensuring that sufficient fuel levels are maintained and reporting faults when required, anticipating, and ordering the resupplies of fuel for a tank capacity of 40,000 litres. This is an exciting opportunity where you will learn new skills whilst working at pace, as the Headquarters grows and establishes itself in its new role. Key responsibilities: Monitor events recorded on the CCTV system and reporting any faults of suspicious behaviour to the Unit Security Officer. Provide serviceability of spillage kits and fire safety equipment. Ensure that the facility is operational, clean and complies with Health & Safety Policy for the facility. Ensure access to pollution control absorbents (PCA) is always readily available and replacements ordered promptly. Oversight of the MTFI facility including engaging with contractors and MOD customers. Maintain serviceability, ensure sufficient fuel levels are stored in accordance with wider policy. Maintain levels to meet local and wider Unit operational requirements. Organise MTFI waste disposal. Daily stocktaking of the bulk storage installation. You will be required to maintain serviceability of the facility using the Ground Fuel Maintenance System (GFMS) Order and receipt all bulk fuel through the approved contractor and record an GFMS completing daily downloads. Report any facility faults to the RQMS (Regimental Quartermaster) when required. Issue the fuel visitor keys recording all relevant details of the visitor, ensuring that their documents are correct, in date and that the facilities are used correctly and safely. Supervise visitors and contractors, ensuring that they comply with all Health, Safety, Fire and Environmental regulations. Open the facility at the start of the business day. Responsible for the security of the facility, ensuring that buildings and the area is secure when unattended and at the end of day closure. Act as the SSSU fire extinguisher maintainer and that all fire fighting equipment (FFE) that is the responsibility of SSSU (Shorncliffe Station Support Unit). This includes daily weekly, monthly and annual checks, and maintenance in conjunction with the GSM (Garrison Sergeant Major). Ensure that all mandatory training is completed once in post. The duties and responsibilities listed above describe the post as it is at present and is not exhaustive.
