Compensation Manager – Pay Equity & Risk
* Central London - 3 days per week in the office
* Contract Daily Rate: Up to £450 per day (Inside IR35)
Our client is a large, globally scaled organisation operating in a highly regulated environment. The business is investing further in its compensation governance and pay equity capabilities to ensure robust compliance, transparency, and risk management across multiple jurisdictions.
This London-based contract role sits at manager level within a specialist risk and compliance function focused on pay equity and compensation oversight. The position is to strengthen global pay equity governance, regulatory readiness, and analytical insight, particularly in response to evolving reporting requirements and EU Pay Transparency.
The successful hire will play a visible role in shaping approach, strengthening controls, and partnering with senior stakeholders across HR, Legal, and Finance to manage risk effectively.

Key Responsibilities
* Lead and deliver global pay equity and compensation compliance initiatives, coordinating cross-functional stakeholders across HR, Legal, Risk, and Analytics.
* Translate complex employment and pay equity regulations into clear operational controls, processes, and reporting requirements.
* Oversee regulatory and statutory pay equity reporting programmes, including project planning, governance, and delivery.
* Conduct detailed data analysis to assess pay equity outcomes, identify trends, and validate data quality and integrity.
* Partner closely with legal and risk teams to support audits, regulatory inquiries, and potential litigation matters.
* Develop remediation plans where risks are identified and monitor the ongoing effectiveness of controls and processes.
* Prepare concise papers, dashboards, and updates for senior leadership, clearly articulating risk, impact, and recommendations.
* Drive continuous improvement across pay equity and compliance processes, including standardisation, automation, and documentation.
Candidate Profile
* Proven experience in a compensation & pay equity role with a strong grasp of risk, compliance, audit, and governance.
* Experience working on complex, global programmes within large, matrixed organisations.
* Strong analytical capability, with confidence working with large datasets and translating insights into clear conclusions.
* Demonstrated ability to interpret legal or regulatory requirements and implement practical, business solutions.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the credibility to engage and influence senior stakeholders.
* Highly organised, detail-oriented, and comfortable managing multiple workstreams and priorities.
* Degree-qualified or equivalent professional experience; project management or process improvement qualifications are advantageous but not essential.
