Located in the Lamar office in Hartford, CT, this role supports brands in Windsor, CT and surrounding areas. This position often works solo and requires effective schedule management.

* Five‑day work schedule (Mon–Thu 6:30 a.m.–3:30 p.m.; Fri 6:30 a.m.–10:30 a.m.)

A Day in the Life
As an Installer, you will work with the Operations team to install and maintain billboards, prioritizing safety. Installations involve large vinyl advertisements, assembled to billboard structures. The tallest Lamar structure is about 200 feet, so comfort with heights is a must.
Maintenance includes construction tasks such as tightening bolts, painting steel, repairing trim, changing light bulbs, and other related duties. You bring the experience; we provide the equipment.
Responsibilities
* Remove and hang flexes and vinyls; prepare materials for installation; prepare and install copies on Tri‑Visions
* Build and install extensions, manage brush/weeds, perform storm damage repairs and minor electrical work; maintain a clean workshop
* Operate power/manual tools safely
* Attend safety meetings; maintain company vehicles and tools
* Document installations with photos for proof of completion
Qualifications
* Ability to work alone and manage your schedule
* Willingness to work at heights up to 100 feet
* Strong English communication skills; read and write
* Willingness to work with others and get along with teammates
* Basic computer skills (Internet, Word & Excel)
* Ability to climb ladders and carry tools
* Knowledge of electrical, fabrication skills, and ability to read technical documents
* Understanding of Lamar, DOT, and OSHA safety regulations
* Ability to safely use construction equipment
* Ability to document installations through photos and written logs
* Mathematical aptitude for construction and operations tasks
* Ability to prioritize responsibilities
Education and Experience
* High school diploma or equivalent required
* Valid driver’s license required
* OSHA 10‑hour Construction course required
* CDL and Non‑CDL licenses are a plus but not required
* Experience at heights up to 200 ft is a plus
* Construction and/or billboard installation experience a plus but not required

Physical Demands and Work Environment
