Tradewind Recruitment is currently looking for a specialist History teacher to join a small independent school for girls. This is a temporary supply role to cover a sickness absence.
The Job
Teacher of Key stage 3 and GCSE History. Five days a week. Experience of the AQA GCSE syllabus would be useful. Positive confident classroom management skills with a focus on Assessment for Learning. Innovative teacher able to adapt lessons to the changing needs of students. The academy are interested in hearing from early career teachers, experienced QTS teachers or FE lecturers with experience of teaching History to students aged 11 to 16.
The School
Oversubscribed independent school for girls aged 11 to 16 in South Manchester. Excellent senior leadership support. Small classes of up to 15 students with good behaviour and a drive to be academically successful. "Pupils are well motivated, taking pride in the presentation of their work, meeting the high expectations from their teachers" ISI inspection February 2024. The school is part of a thriving private academy trust supporting Manchester's Islamic community which includes a boys school and a preparatory school.
Requirements
* Hold QTS Status or QTLS
* This position is subject to an Enhanced DBS Disclosure, Overseas Police Clearances (if applicable) and professional references checks
